Job details
St Mary's School is looking for a temporary, part time Special Needs Learning Assistant to support children in Early Years with their learning, both in and out of the classroom. The role will primarily involve working 1:1 with high needs pupils, using autism-friendly approaches and providing bespoke support to meet individual needs.
You would be joining a dedicated and motivated EYFS team who are keen to help every child reach their potential. This position is managed on a day to day basis by the class teacher, with input from the Inclusion Leader. There are opportunities for training and professional development as part of the role, through attendance at support staff meetings with CPD provided by the school’s Inclusion Leader.

St Mary’s is a one-form-entry Church of England Primary School. We are situated in the heart of Horsham at the end of the picturesque Causeway. On the other side of the school we border extensive woodland with fields, rivers and countryside on our doorstep, offering the best of both worlds for learning outside the classroom. We are tucked behind St Mary’s Church - a beautiful and iconic 13th century building which provides further opportunities to explore both history and faith.
